Not surprisingly John Deer has had his share of "John Deere" and "Dear John" jokes over the years! He's used this "gift" in some of his "creative" embroidery projects.
Embroidery for John Deer has literally been a way of life; growing up in the third generation in the embroidery industry and literally grew up in a Schiffli factory from the time he learned to walk. His grandparents started their business in the early fifties and produced lace and millions of emblems for over 45 years. John consider himself fortunate for that, because he's never had a job outside of this industry. With the old European work ethics John found myself working in the factory and learning absolutely every aspect of the embroidery trade... the first job he remember was at the age of four, packaging tourist emblems in little bags with stapled headers for one penny apiece. Although he did work just long enough to pay his way to the candy store!
Because of his background, John has won 30 Awards for digitizing, written for numerous trade publications and been fortunate enough to have given hundreds of seminars on digitizing and embroidery techniques over the last eight years.
This full day event is a must for all embroiders. These classes will enrich all aspects of your embroidery knowledge; from running machines, to editing and digitizing designs, to understanding software and how to turn your hobby into a business so you can own more TOYS!
