Candace has been teaching all the serger classed at SMP for the past 3 years including the serger garment making classes, advanced serger technique classes and new owner classes. Her classes are fun and engaging and you will learn vital skills to help increase your confidence and make using your serger a joy.
Candace Trevino hosts our popular "T" Time; tools, tips, tricks and techniques with a special guest every other Thursday, streamed live on SewingMachinesPlus.com's Facebook and Youtube pages.

SMP Virtual Serger Workshop Details

Join Candace for a serging workshop using Baby lock JetAir® threading, 4-Thread, Air-Threading Sergers.

Learn all you need to know to feel comfortable and confident using your new Baby lock Serger. This fun, informative and jammed packed class will not only teach serger basics, but Candace will also share helpful tips, tools, and techniques for using your serger’s different stiches in your projects.

Qualifying Baby lock Sergers for this workshop are: Celebrate, Victory, Acclaim

Owners of these older models may also attend: Imagine, Eclipse, Enlighten

(NOTE: 8 thread Baby lock sergers such as the Evolution, Evolve, Ovation, Triumph and Accolade are welcome to attend, however, we will only be discussing the serger portion of your machine and all diagrams will be geared towards the 4 thread overlock machines)

This live-streaming workshop is limited to the first 30 people who've registered for each day. *Workshop will not be recorded.*

What you will be learning:

- Using decorative threads + bypassing the threading ports.
- Turning corners, curves + working with various fabrics.
- Tips + techniques for starting/ending seems.
- Using our serger to add zippers using the Piping/Cording Foot.
- We will make several samples for future reference.
- Troubleshooting. And so much more!

This is a virtual class via Zoom. A Zoom Link will be emailed to all participating students 2 days or more prior to the start of class.
Materials will be available to download so you can follow along with the lesson and create your own binder of samples.
