This high-quality sewing cabinet has a large opening to fit most sewing machines. The electric lift is operated with a simple flip of a switch and raises your machine smoothly and quietly with a strong pinion motor. The tabletop flips open to two automatically supported leaves, and a removable plastic notions tray is located under one side for extra organization. An accessory bin hangs on the inside of the door, and a power strip is attached to the inside of the cabinet. With five strong casters makes this table mobile for your convenience. Each of the drawers is supported with a durable metal glide, and the piano hinge ensures stability for the heavy oak door. A 19 3/4-inch/centimeter adhesive ruler is included for you to apply where desired. Order an insert and customize your cabinet to your machine.

Perhaps better than saving on wear and tear on the lift itself, extending the warranty to 5 years, this consumer friendly feature removes the hassle of seeking that just-right position for your insert/filler for working as a flatbed machine.
Press & hold the UP/DOWN switch as usual until the lift stops by itself at either the bottom or Flatbed position. To continue to the Free-Arm position, hold the bypass button and then press UP/DOWN switch in the UP direction until the lift stops on its own. To return to the Flatbed position press DOWN until the position is passed then go UP again until it stops. To park at the bottom hold the UP/DOWN switch in the DOWN direction until it stops.
Auto-Stop installed on lifts before May 1, 2014. Press and hold the UP/DOWN switch as usual until the lift stops by itself at either the bottom or Flatbed position. To continue to the Free-Arm position hold the UP/DOWN switch in the UP direction and tap the Bypass button until the lift continues to rise without it, then ONLY hold the UP/DOWN switch in the UP direction until it again stops on its own. To park at the bottom hold the UP/DOWN switch in the DOWN direction until it stops
CAUTION: DO NOT HOLD THE BYPASS BUTTON IN as it will bypass the other limits as well and void the warranty.
Turn the threaded rod, located behind the lift rail opposite the drive rack, to adjust the Flatbed position stop by using the two jamb nuts found about 6" from the bottom of the lift WITH THE MATCHINE IN PLACE (as viewed from above). Turn the rod counter-clockwise to lower the position & clockwise to raise the position. Be sure, when checking the setting, to lower well past the level & then raise again.
Once the level is set properly it should remain exactly the same each time. However, due to the accuracy of the Auto-Stop positioning any significant change to the weight on the lift - such as adding something to the machine - may change the stop location. If the weight does change, if you change the machine altogether for instance, it is simply a matter of re-adjusting the stop for the new weight.
A lift that comes with the Auto-Stop option already installed automatically has the lift warranty extended to 5 years.
Owners of Fashion Cabinet's current rectangular rail lift made since 2013 can have the Auto-Stop feature added after sale. Though it won't extend the warranty to 5 years (when added post purchase), it will provide added protection against the harsh conditions of running into the top or bottom and up & down jerks to get to the right Insert position, extending the life of the motor and components.
