When it comes to fabric, the Sizzix® Big Shot™ Fabric Series Starter Kits are a cut above! Each kit includes a Big Shot machine that saves you time and effort with quick and precise cuts, including curvy and intricate shapes.

These Sizzix machines work with steel-rule quilting dies, which feature popular designs that die-cut a variety of materials, including everything from quilter's cotton and flannel to denim and wool, as well as multiple layers of fabric. The die's steel-rule construction allows for many years of use with no need for sharpening ever.

The process is simple: the dies are "sandwiched" between two Cutting Pads and the material to be cut and then run through a Sizzix Big Shot machine. This provides the right pressure to cut the material into the shape or design.

Each of the manually operated Big Shot, Big Shot Plus or Big Shot Pro machines feature a different-sized opening to accommodate dies up to 6", 9" and 12" wide, respectively. In addition, a motorized Big Shot Express Machine (6" wide opening) is available for users with limited mobility or wanting to make cuts at the push of a button.

Sizzix's largest and most comprehensive die-cutting solution, the Big Shot Pro, comes with an Extended Sliding Tray to accommodate larger materials through the machine, as well as an Extended Adapter Pad to help make any of the brand's steel-rule dies compatible with the machine. The included Die Pick allows you to lift smaller pieces of fabric with ease, or to clean any material scraps off the edges of your die.

In addition to the designs included with the starter kits, Sizzix die designs are available in a variety of shapes and sizes— from Originals™ Medium Dies (2 3/4" x 4 3/4") all the way to Bigz™ Pro 25" Dies (12" x 25"). For more fabric fun, Sizzix offers designs for appliqué, softies and purses as part of its expansive library of dies. With the Sizzix Adapter G, you can even use AccuQuilt® GO!®* dies with the Sizzix Big Shot Plus or Big Shot Pro Machine.
