This machine does not like stretch fabrics. It can handle fleece no problem, but put some poly/rayon blend under it and you've got skipped stitches everywhere. No amount of adjusting your tension, rethreading your machine, adjusting your presser foot, changing your stitch length or getting different thread will work. This machine doesn't like light stretchy fabrics.
That's kind of a shame since you can't really do anything else with it. This is a lightweight machine. Light to medium wovens, it loves. French terry will go through it fine, and a cotton jersey, is a dream on it, but for some reason, I have to switch to a different machine when I break out the dbp. Oh and it doesn't like cheap thread.
I like the features on it though when I've met all her requirements. I named her Betty, after my Ex's mom. I never liked that lady. And it's relatively quiet compared to my old vintage back up machine.
I will take it in to be serviced soon, though since I want it to keep running despite the quirks.
