Bought the 8 ft. Continuum II frame as an upgrade from a Cutie table top frame for my wife. Assembly took a full day. I am an engineer and good with tools. I really appreciate the quality of the components and instructions that Grace provides for their products. ARe they the cheapest 8’ frame on the market? No. But once you start putting the frame together you will understand the quality of the components. The frame is about 200 Lbs or so with the Qnique 15 Pro machine. SO it’s not going anywhere once the machine starts putting out 1000+ stitches per minute.
We ordered the batting rail and the idler rail. After installing the idler rail I noticed that we lost almost 2” of quilting area in the throat of the machine, front to back. I took it off and we will work with the take up rail and no idler.
I do not recommend an idler rail unless you want to give up some machine throat space on the frame. Maybe OK with a 19” or 21” long arm but not OK for a 15” mid arm.
All in all it looks like a great product and I can’t wait for my wife to start enjoying her gift.
