Handi Quilter Quilter's Preview Paper

Use Handi Quilter's Preview Paper to see your design before you quilt. Preview Paper is better than clear films. There is a fine line along the edge so you won't accidentally draw on your project while tracing. It saves a lot of grief!

Use a permanent marker when tracing or free-handing a design. An ultra fine point or fine point marker is best. Washable markers and dry-erase markers are not recommended. Only draw on one side of the Preview Paper to avoid accidentally marking your project! To clean, place the Preview Paper on a flat surface away from your project and use rubbing alcohol with a soft cloth.

Quilter's Preview Paper is 20 inches wide and 25 feet long, or 41.66 square feet.

Usage

There are three ways to use Preview Paper to get the best results. These are shortened instructions. Please use the complete instructions that come with the Preview Paper!

1. Audition The Design.

Lay the Preview Paper on the design to the traced, then trace the design using the permanent marker. Advance the paper to trace another design so you can view several designs before choosing the final. Then use the paper to determine placement of the design and where the thread will lay on your project.

2. Make A Stencil.

This will be used to mark your quilt. Trace the design onto the Preview Paper with a permanent marker. Cut the Preview Paper about 2 inches larger than the design in all directions. Free motion stitch with a large (size 90) unthreaded needle to perforate the Paper. Place Paper on the project and rub with chalk pounce. Remember to clean or change your needle before quilting!

3. Make A Template.

Trace the appliqué design onto the Quilter's Preview Paper. Place the appliqué onto the background fabric piece by piece. Check for proper placement by laying the Preview Paper over the appliqué. Adjust as needed. Do not iron the Preview Paper!
