When you're building an embroidery business, every wasted garment, missed thread break, or hour spent rethreading is money walking out the door. The Juki Tajima Sai gives you the output discipline of a commercial operation in a machine small enough to sit on a studio workbench or ride to a weekend market — and it comes loaded with everything you need to start taking orders on day one.
Tajima builds the machines serious embroidery shops run around the clock. This is their compact business machine, and that heritage shows in every detail. Eight pre-loaded needles mean you run full multi-color designs from start to finish without stopping to rethread — that's the difference between a hobby setup and a production mindset. At 800 stitches per minute, the Sai moves, and the laser positioning system means you place every design exactly right before a single stitch touches the fabric, protecting the garment and your reputation. The automatic thread detection monitors all eight threads simultaneously and stops the machine the instant one breaks — no ruined inventory, no ugly surprises.
The slim cylinder arm opens the sock, sleeve, glove, and pocket market most compact machines can't touch, and the included cap frame set puts you in the custom headwear business immediately. Two sets of hoops let you stage the next piece while the machine finishes the current one, effectively doubling your output. Two sets of hoops let you stage the next piece while the machine is still running, and the built-in handles mean the whole operation — 15 by 19.5 inches — goes wherever your customers are. Tajima Writer Plus software and 1,300 pre-installed designs mean your design library is ready before your first order arrives.
SewingMachinesPlus has been an authorized Tajima dealer for decades, and our embroidery specialists at 800-401-8151 will help you configure, set up, and grow — with 0% financing available so your machine starts paying for itself before the first payment is due.

Optional Thread Tension Guage
Tajima thread tension gauge tool enables embroiderers to measure and adjust top thread tension on both commercial and home machines. The tension gauge is hooked to the top thread from the presser foot and by pulling on the thread the embroiderer can determine the tension the embroidery machine is exerting on the thread. The embroiderer can then adjust top tension until the desired level of embroidery thread tension has been attained.
