What Sizzix products can you use with the Big Shot? The Sizzix Big Shot Machine and its accompanying die or folder are made for use with the Sizzix product library, including Bigz, Thinlits, Framelits, Textured Impressions, Texture Fades and Impresslits Embossing Folders, with the exception of dies and embossing folders wider than 6” (A5). Empowering creativity, the Big Shot has the ability to die-cut and emboss a multitude of materials, from card stock and vellum to leather and mat board.

Prepare

First, gather all the items you need to get started. This includes the chosen material you want to cut, selected dies, Big Shot machine of choice, tools such as the Paper Sculpting Kit and glue gun and any embellishments you may want along the way! With hundreds of designs to choose from in our extensive product library, you will find a die for every project and occasion, from basic shapes and animals, to alphabets and intricate designs.

Make Your Sandwich

Make the perfect Sizzix sandwich by placing your chosen die and your chosen material such as card stock between your cutting pads and place on top of your platform, following the instructions printed on the platform. If you are using a Bigz die then you will not need a platform, instead just simply create a Sizzix sandwich with your two cutting pads, die and chosen material, such as card stock, fabric and leather!

Lets Get Cutting

Time to get cutting! Simply feed your sandwich through your machine by turning the handle and be met with your beautifully cut design on the other side in a matter of seconds. To reveal your die-cut simply take your cutting pads and die away, leaving you with your desired design. If you use an intricate wafer-thin and chemically-etched die, you may wish to use the Sizzix Die Brush or Die Pick to effortlessly remove any excess paper.
