Types of Stabilizer Included in some of our variety packs
Medium Tearaway
Designed for light to medium stitch counts on stable to semi-stable fabrics. Firm, crisp and easy to tear away. Tears neatly aound edge of stitched area.
Medium Cutaway
Excellent for medium stitch counts on medium weight, stretch fabrics such as fleece and pique knits.
Peel N' Stick
An adhesive tearaway stabilizer used for "hoopless" embroidery or to provide additional stabilization of items during the embroidery process. Ideal for velvets, napped materials, silks, knits, vinyl, leather and any material requiring a better hold or that won't fit in a standard hoop. Elimintes the need for water activated adhesive stabilizers or spray adhesives. Store in a cool dry area.
Water Soluble Topping
A plastic topping designed to enhance embroidery done on high pile fabrics such as terryclot, velour, pique knit, corduroy, fleece and velvet. Improves embroidery quality by preventing stitches from sinking into the pile of the fabric. Store in a cool dry area.
No Show
Soft, sheer, stable, and translucent nylon-reinforced cutaway backing. Specifically designed for left chest applications, eliminating the backing from showing through the garment. Ideal for lightweight, light-colored fabrics – keeps outlines on track when hooped in with your knit fabric. Can be used with a medium weight tearaway for added stability.
Fusible No Show
Has the same qualities as regular No Show, but has a low-melt adhesive on one side that allows it to be adhered temporarily to a fabric to add body for embroidery. Highly stable, it also prevents stretching of knits while hooping or during the embroidery process. The adhesive is activated with a medium setting on a household hand iron, and is easy to reposition.
Heavy Cutaway
Provides maximum stability on heavyweight stretchy fabrics such as heavy fleece, knits, or jackets. Allows very heavy stitch counts.
Heavy Tearaway
Soft, pliable, holds larger stitch counts than traditional tearaways. Ideal for high-density stitch counts on stable to semi-stable fabrics such as canvas, denim, and jackets.
Sew N' Wash
Soft, stable mesh designed to dissolve easily in water. Use to embroider on open weave materials or when no stabilizer should remain. Remove the protective paper covering to expose a self-adhesive surface.
