Was too long getting all my product. On first shipment shorted a part had to call and it took over a week to finally get it just got today

I truly love my Artistic Quilter SD machine. I "own" the stitches because it's me that's driving the fabric thru the needle. I wasn't interested in a machine with a computer that made perfect stitches and a perfect pattern. I like the "touch of a hand". I love the 18" area as I have quilted several queen quilts and it's not a problem. King would not be a problem either. At the beginning, the tension was off and I didn't understand. It was very, very frustrating. I had thread breaking and loose stitches and every kind of tension issue. But I kept looking for answers and once I got the answer - my tension issues went away. It is a very sturdy machine and it is a total joy. I purchased a plastic utility table to go alongside the machine and now I have all the surface I need. I am able to keep it set up and ready to go. I have used 100% polyester thread and 100% cotton thread with no troubles. If you want your quilt to be your quilt because you quilted it, if you want a roomy machine and if you want quality - this is your machine!

Perfect compliment to my wonderful Janome 6600p which I use to sew and piece and some quilt as you go. There is no need to see bobbin area to change the bobbin. Reach down and place...listen for the click. It is about the "CLICK" that assures you that the bobbin is in perfect, correct position. It is best to feel and listen not just see. It may look like it is in the right place but if you don't hear the "click"; it is not correct. If you machine quilt with your sewing machine, this is a perfect upgrade. I did not believe I needed the stitch regulator. Seriously considered it but after watching a wonderful Debby Brown teaching video; I decided it wasn't what I personally needed or wanted to fuss with. I learned machine quilting in the 1980's with Harriet Hargrove and Sue Nichols. The stitch regulator would be a wonderful upgrade if you quilt customer quilts.
The Janome Artistic Quilter SD is a very easy machine to learn to use. I do not mind using the pressor foot lift or the foot pedal or cutting my own threads.
Sewingmachinesplus.com is efficient and speedy. My machine was packaged beautifully. The only problem was my husband had to move over the hinge on the back extension. Easy for him to fix for me.

I really like the machine and cabinet the only thing I don't like is the access to the bobbin You have to lift the machine out of the cabinet to put the bobbin in as you can't see it from underneath.
