Julie Fei-Fan Balzer is a mixed media painter, collage maker, and avid memory keeper. She is also an author, blogger, TV personality, and teacher. Julie is the host of Scrapbook Soup TV (PBS) and has appeared several times on Quilting Arts TV (PBS) and hosted the “Artist to Artist” segment on Scrapbook Memories TV (PBS). Julie has also appeared on Crafting at The Spotted Canary (PBS). You can catch her every now and then on HSN (Home Shopping Network).
Julie’s hour-long instructional DVD “Collage Fast & Furious” was released in July 2010 by Interweave. She released two more hour-long instructional DVDs in 2012: All About Faces and Stamp-Making Adventures. Two more in 2013: Layering with Stencils and Creating On The Go. And one more in 2014: Working in a Series: Making Better Art. Julie's book Carve Stamp Play was released by Interweave Press in December 2013.

This event has been designed to teach you all the skills you need to get the most out of your new ScanNCut SDX 225. Over the course of two days, you will create six stellar projects. Each project is designed, not only to be beautiful but to teach you some very unique Scan-N-Cut skills. You will learn all about scanning and how to use the AutoBlade. You’ll learn about the pen tool and options you have for drawing and filling. You will be working with cut files from the built-in designs, custom cut files from Julie, and you will be creating your own unique designs! You will learn all about the built-in editing functions of the Scan-N-Cut SDX while creating beautiful customized artwork. You will be working with fabric, paper, and vinyl. It’s two days packed with hands-on learning! You will walk away with six finished projects and all the knowledge you need to get the most out of your new Scan-N-Cut SDX 225!
